Choir project calls for singers with passion!
The 'Lastpostkoor' asks you to join them, to rehearse and
perform parts of a newly written passion. Although the texts are in
Dutch, the music is international, so both Dutch and foreign PhD
candidates are very welcome to join. You will not have much
difficulty in reading and singing the notes as they are quite
classical. Choir members and conductor are happy to help you with
translation and pronunciation where necessary. Currently Dutch,
German, French, Icelandic, Swedish, Spanish, and Basque have been
spoken during rehearsals.
The aim of the project is to present this passion in a big
concert on April 13th, 2014. Rehearsals are every Monday from
20:00-22:00 in the
chaplaincy, Erasmuslaan 9A. Willibrord Huisman is the composer
The work itself is in fact a contemporary choral narration of
the passion according to Matthew; both the texts and the music are
new, meant for young people who like to sing. The title 'De
lastpost' means 'The troublemaker'. You can see and hear the scores,
read much more information (in Dutch), and even see a video of a

If you are interested, you are very welcome to contact
or Dieteke Tamminga at
firstname.lastname@example.org ; or just show up on Monday evening!
Except for Monday the 4th of November, as we will be singing at the
memorial service of the dead of the Radboud University from 19.00
tot 19.45, instead of rehearsing.
